Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands
The Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands is an extensive multivolume publication which, in approximately twenty-five thousand entries-biograms, presents and will present information about the life and work of personalities who shaped the spiritual and material development of the Czech lands in various epochs and fields of activity. From the thematic and chronological point of view, it is a universal dictionary with the only limitation that it contains only deceased personalities, whose work is historically concluded. The project relies on broad interdisciplinary cooperation and makes use of rich international contacts, especially with biographical research centres in neighbouring countries.
