Deadlines stipulated by law:

if necessary, in compliance with section 14 of Act No. 106/1999 Coll. the institute must ask the requester to further specify the information being requested and/or provide additional required details not later than 7 calendar days of submission of a request;
if the institute does not receive the aforesaid specification and/or additional required details, the request will be denied not later than 30 calendar days of submission;
if a request is deferred, the requester must be informed not later than 3 calendar days of deferment or not later than the legal deadline for processing information requests;
the institute must provide the requested information not later than 15 calendar days of submission of a request;
this deadline of 15 calendar days may be extended by up to 10 calendar days (i.e. to a total of 25 calendar days) in special cases, including:
- the retrieval and collection of requested information in other fields,
- requests for large quantities of separate and diverse information in a single submission,
- the need to consult with another institution (or with two or more departments within an institution with a vested interest in the subject matter of the request);
not later than 15 calendar days, the requester must be informed of the reasons for extending the original deadline;
if a requester wishes to appeal a decision, they must do so not later than 15 calendar days of receiving the decision.
