A Life Mission. The Prague Polonist Marian Szyjkowski (1883–1952) and the Idea of Czech-Polish Affiliation in the Area of Culture
This book is a (re)creation and the first attempt to elaborate a monograph on the life and work of Marian Szyjkowski (1883–1952) – Polish literary scholar from Lviv and Krakow. He was (above all) a fundamental personality of Polish Studies at Charles University in Prague. At the same time, it is a little contribution to the historical (as well as literary-scientific) reflection on the more than one-thousand-year history of the Czech-Polish cultural contacts in a Central European context.
