The book reflects the topic of confessional historiography in the protestant cultures in the period from the Reformation to Protestant Orthodoxy. In addition to the historiography of the Bohemian Brethren, including that of John Amos Comenius, attention is devoted to the Lutheran and Reformed confessional cultures as well.
