Central European Jewish Communities in the Toleration and Emancipation Period, 1781–1938
The international conference Central European Jewish Communities in the Toleration and Emancipation Period, 1781–1938 is jointly organized by the Institute of History, the Kurt and Ursula Schubert Center for Jewish Studies (Palacký University Olomouc) and the Institute for Jewish History in Austria. It will take place on 24 to 25 May 2023 at Palacký University Olomouc.
The international conference focuses on the temporal transformations experienced by Jewish communities in Central Europe, on their communal and supra-communal institutions, on cultural, ethnic, and territorial diversity and on the research dedicated to these communities.
Scholars from Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Switzerland, and the USA will present their research at this conference.
