Strategy AV21 – Epicentres of Civilisation – Programme website
The new Strategy AV21 Programme Epicentres of Civilisation - Intelligent Households, Technology, Society 2025–2029 focuses on neglected research on the basic unit of the civilisation process – the household. In every era, households have represented the epicentres of development (Household-Hub), where the interactions and reproduction of individuals and groups (whether biological reproduction or the transmission of knowledge and patterns of behaviour) have been concentrated. As centres of consumption, households have contributed significantly to the production of GDP and to the technological progress of humanity. The research will also look at households' efforts to improve their private lives, intelligent households, the Internet of Things, which create smart access, security risks or environmental burdens.
